GATE Youth Conducted Tobacco Survey
During the months of last November and December, GATE youth conducted the Standardized Tobacco Assessment for Retail Settings (STARS) survey in Clarkston, Chamblee and Doraville. The survey was designed to obtain data on the price, product placement, promotion and availability of tobacco products in the community. The gathered data will be used to inform state and local tobacco control policies for the point of sale (POS). This project is sponsored by the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH). Thank you to Reena Mangar, Sumnima Rai, Simon Ramdam, Nicky Tran, Stephanie Visoso, Suad Abdella, Delia Mendez, Kemeria Abdella, Ruby Shopon, Chris Ly, Sammy Tran and Woochul Lee for all their hard work!
